攝影給予了我很多近距離觀察不同事物和不同群體的機會，在我探索不同的創作方式和表達方式的同時，也讓我更加客觀地去認知我周圍的世界。《Kitsch In China》是我對中國式審美的一種反思，也是第一次嘗試將自己的圖片輸出成實體的貼畫；《Roleplay》，給了我一個和朋友近距離接觸的機會，是對于個體掙扎的觀察與共情；《Everything I Never Told You》是我自己曾經的經歷與書中東方式家庭教育的連接，也是我第一次對書這個介質，對圖像與文字的探索。作為一個目前還生活在中國的國際學生， 我希望我的作品和經歷可以向以英語為主要話語權的藝術世界展現一個看待新時代中國年輕人的新視角。

Photography offers me opportunities to observe different things and people at a close distance. It makes me perceive the world around me more objectively while I was exploring different methods of creating and expressing at the same time. Kitsch in China gives me the opportunity to reflect on the culture and aesthetics in my country, and it’s my first time printing my photos as stickers; Roleplay brings my friend closer to me and helps me resonate with individual struggles; Everything I Never Told You is a connection between my experience and the oriental style of family education in the novel of the same name, and my first time exploring the media of book, and the combination of images and text. As an international student who grows up and is still living in China, I hope my work can bring up a new perspective of Chinese in the new generation to the Western-centered art world.
